Dr. Turumella is a senior scientist from Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), India. He is spending a sabbatical year with the Microelectronics Research Group.
Dr. Turumella is associated with BARC as a research scientist since 1984. After obtaining his PhD degree in Physics from University of Mumbai in 1997 he spent sabbatical years as a postdoctoral fellow with Northwestern University (USA) & National Research Institute for Material Science (JAPAN). His professional career encompasses magnetization and transport studies on systems exhibiting magnetic order, under extreme conditions like ultra low temperatures, high pressures and high magnetic fields. His research interests include magnetic phase diagrams of low TC superconductors, vortex lattice transitions in mixed state of superconductors, anti-ferromagnetism in CuO and dilute magnetic semiconductors.
